Shooting the Trailer
Except for the courtroom scene, the entire trailer was shot in less than 10 hours on a hot, windy day in Texas.
Lance Eakright - Paul
Lance is a gifted actor, stunt man, weapons master and set dresser. His varied experience on the set is an asset to any production, and certainly was on our set. He also made it fun. Just ask the kids!
Rosa Nichols - Ann
Rosa is a seasoned actress whose craft was put to the test with the role of Ann in our teaser, and she was up to the test! Her powerful performance allows our audience to connect with the story in a visceral way.
Terry Spector - John
Terry’s professional experience was evident in his spot-on performance as John, the nerdy lonely friend of Paul. He brought our words to life with new meaning.
Amber Sutphin - Brenda
Amber was brilliant as our sorrority-girl hooker. Her dazzling performance brought a spark of fun to our trailer. Her experience and training created a truly one of kind performance to this role.
Melody Brooke - Mandy
Melody's career goes back more years than she will let on. Her resume ranges from Hollywood mega movies to no-budget indies, television and commercial work.
Bo Meyers - Ann's Attorney
Bo is a down-to-earth solid actor who is always good no matter what you throw at him. As Ann's Attorney he helped create the mood and feel of this film.
Melissa Lopez - Gina
Melissa is an Austin actress, who drove up for the day to share her talent with us. Her portrayal of Gina, the self-important social worker was spot on. I think the kids are still shaking.
Abbey Roach - Jessie
Abbey was a perfect Jessie, her performance was heartbreaking. Her resume includes film and commercial work. She was a delight to have on the set.
Logan Holstein - Jason
Logan can break your heart with just a look. He captured everything we needed in terms of the emotion of each moment, without a single line.
Edward Fontaine - Orchid
We were lucky to get the considerable voice over talents of Ed for our Orchid. Of course, that movie trailer voice isn’t the only sound he makes!
Melody Brooke - Writer/Director
Melody directed actors for many years, both on stage and in class as an acting coach. This is Melody’s film directorial debut. Melody has IMDb guest screenwriter credits for ’80’s cult classic The Aurora Encounter.
Ron Gonzalez - Director of Photography
Ron’s gifts as a Cinematographer and Director of Photography are a Texas secret that Hollywood has started to notice. His recent works, Beyond the Farthest Star
are poetic works of art. We are blessed to have had him as our DP.
Elizabeth Dukes Melancon - Assistant Director
Elizabeth is a talented, experienced actress who has recently delved into the world of production. She was our outstanding Assistant Director and kept us all organized and on time. We can’t say enough about how critical her off camera role was to the success of the trailer.
Tina Slocum-Cornwell - Boom operator/Sound recorder
Tina worked as a book keeper and a mom for most of her life. As our friend of … well, we don't want to say exactly how many years…. we were delighted to have her volunteer to handle sound for us. Tina joined our crew on the main day of the shoot and we would have been in big trouble without her.
Mike Henricks - Writer/Director
As Melody's long time writing collaborator/mentor/editor (she has two books in print) creating this screenplay was a natural progression to a new sandbox. As a software engineer lead, making it happen is second nature.
Peter Harper - Blues Man Extraordinaire
"Oh no, we don't have a soundtrack!" and the Kickstarter project goes live this weekend. "Better get hold of Peter" Melody and I have traveled to Colorado (in a blizzard), Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri to see Peter (please come back to Texas!).
